Developed from a 300 H&H case
The .270 Weatherby, designed by Roy Weatherby, was developed from a 300 H&H case, it is a belted case that sports Weatherby’s iconic double radius shoulder.
The .270 WBY shares the same case length (2.549) as the .257 and 7mm Weatherby Magnums.
Nosler® Partition
Nosler Partition Bullets feature a fully tapered jacket that ruptures instantly at the thin jacket mouth, yet the gradual thickening along the bullet’s axis controls expansion and curls the jacket uniformly outward at high or low velocities. The dual-core design assures rapid expansion of the foremost core while Nosler’s integral partition supports the expanded mushroom allowing the enclosed rear core to remain intact retaining more than two-thirds the original bullet weight for deep penetration. The special crimp locks in the rear core section, adding strength to resist deformation under the pressure of heavy magnums.
